about the role:
we are looking for a highly skilled and creative level designer with a strong eye for gameplay environments, terrain sculpting, and real-world scale. you will be working on scarfall 2.0, a mobile battle royale game built in unity, focusing on creating high-quality maps that are both visually realistic and gameplay-optimized.
key responsibilities:
- design, sculpt, and texture large-scale terrains using unity terrain tools.
- create playable, competitive outdoor environments suited for battle royale gameplay.
- integrate 3d structures and natural elements into the terrain layout.
- reference real-world geography and architecture to inspire environment layout.
- collaborate with the art and gameplay teams to ensure level design supports core gameplay systems
- ensure performance optimization for mobile devices
must-have skills:
- minimum 3 years of experience as a unity level designer.
- strong experience with unity terrain sculpting and texturing tools.
- understanding of battle royale gameplay flow, including cover placement and player movement zones.
- ability to design and build environments with a realistic visual style.
- proficiency in any 3d modeling software. (e.g., blender, maya)
- knowledge of uv unwrapping and pbr texturing workflows.
- solid understanding of scale, world composition, and player experience in level design.
- strong communication and collaboration skills.
bonus points:
- experience with unity vegetation tools for foliage and biome creation.
- familiarity with terrain and asset optimization techniques for mobile platforms.
