Automation QA Engineer
Description:
- design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
- build robust automated tests for web, api, and mobile applications using tools like selenium, cypress, appium, and restassured.
- collaborate with developers, qa engineers, and product managers to define and execute test plans and strategies.
- integrate test automation into ci/cd pipelines using tools like jenkins, gitlab, or azure devops.
- perform code reviews and mentor junior qa engineers on automation best practices.
- ensure quality metrics are captured and defects are documented and tracked via jira or similar tools.
- develop bdd scenarios and integrate with cucumber or similar tools.
- participate in agile/scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- identify performance bottlenecks and assist in performance testing when needed.
