we are seeking a skilled devops & security engineer to join our cloud-focused development team. the role involves architecting and managing secure, scalable environments using microsoft azure, azure devops, databricks, data lake storage, power bi, and related technologies. this is a collaborative opportunity to work with cross-functional teams on building and maintaining modern cloud-native infrastructure.
scope of work
- work within the development team and report to the project manager and technical lead
- design, implement, and manage scalable and secure azure architecture environments
- ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of development and production systems
- automate provisioning and configuration using infrastructure as code (iac) tools
- build and manage ci/cd pipelines to streamline software development lifecycle
- monitor system performance and optimize for resource utilization
- define and enforce security best practices and policies
- work closely with security teams to maintain compliance with industry standards
skills & experience required
- 6+ years in devops, security, or systems administration
- strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders
- hands-on experience working across development, operations, and security teams
- familiarity with multicultural and remote team environments
- proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to technical challenges
- comfort working in fast-paced, evolving technology environments
required technical proficiency
- microsoft azure services and infrastructure management
- azure devops (repos, pipelines, test plans)
- azure kubernetes service (aks) and azure key vault
- powershell for scripting and automation
- azure security center, active directory, virtual machines, blob storage, and azure monitor
- azure resource manager (arm) for provisioning and managing azure resources
bonus experience (nice to have)
- working with azure data factory, azure synapse analytics
- experience in power bi and powerapps for data reporting and custom app development
- familiarity with azure functions and logic apps for automation
