about the role
we're looking for a fullstack javascript developer with at least 1 year of experience working with react, node.js, and aws. this is a remote, full-time role with plenty of space to learn, grow, and experiment. you'll work on meaningful projects spanning education, culture, and technology while contributing to the full development cycle-from ideation to deployment.
preference will be given to candidates from disadvantaged caste and gender backgrounds.
responsibilities
- develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using react (frontend) and node.js (backend)
- build and consume restful apis and occasionally dabble in serverless functions and aws services
- collaborate with designers, pms, and other developers to translate ideas into robust, user-friendly products
- participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and product brainstorms
- contribute to regular hackathons, learning sessions, and team sprints
- maintain clean, readable, and well-documented code
- be part of a team where learning is encouraged and experimentation is part of the process
requirements
- 1+ years of fullstack development experience
- solid grasp of react, node.js, and javascript/typescript
- familiarity with mongodb and sql
- basic familiarity with aws services (lambda, s3, ec2, etc.)
- understanding of rest apis, asynchronous programming, and version control (git)
- ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
- good communication and collaboration skills
- self-driven and comfortable with remote, flexible work setups
nice to have
- experience with serverless frameworks, or ci/cd pipelines
- exposure to testing libraries and automated testing
- familiarity with agile workflows
