about the role:

we are looking for someone who lives and breathes performance marketing - an expert who approaches campaigns with a test-and-learn mindset, constantly tweaks strategies based on data insights, and stays ahead of ppc trends.


the ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing large-scale google ads budgets and achieving outstanding roas, preferably in an e-commerce or gaming environment. you should be comfortable diving into analytics, identifying trends in campaign data, and making swift optimizations to improve results.


key responsibilities

  • plan, manage & optimize campaigns: develop, execute, and optimize comprehensive google ads campaigns across search, display, shopping, and youtube. continuously refine keywords, ad copy, and bidding strategies to drive high-quality traffic to driffle's marketplace.
  • roas-focused performance optimization: monitor daily and weekly performance data (impressions, ctr, cpc, conversion rates, etc.) and adjust campaigns to maximize return on ad spend (roas) and meet aggressive roi targets. implement bid adjustments and budget reallocations to improve cost per conversion and overall profitability.
  • a/b testing & experimentation: conduct regular a/b tests on ad creatives, headlines, extensions, and landing pages to improve click-through and conversion rates. experiment with different audience targeting, bidding strategies (e.g., target cpa, target roas), and ad formats to systematically improve campaign outcomes.
  • audience targeting & expansion: leverage advanced audience targeting techniques such as remarketing/retargeting, lookalike audiences, and customer match. segment and target audiences (e.g., by gamer demographics, interests, or purchase behavior) to ensure ads resonate with high-intent users and new customer segments.
  • analysis & reporting: analyze campaign performance and user acquisition funnels using google ads reporting and google analytics. generate insightful reports on key kpis (click-through rate, cost per acquisition, conversion rate, roas, etc.) and communicate results, learnings, and actionable recommendations to the team and management on a regular basis.
  • collaboration with cross-functional teams: work closely with the product and analytics teams to align ad campaigns with product launches, promotions, and overall marketplace goals. ensure that ad messaging and landing pages reflect the latest game offerings and value propositions on driffle. collaborate with design/content teams to create compelling ad creatives tailored to gamers.
  • market research & trend monitoring: stay up-to-date with the latest google ads features, policies, and best practices in ppc. keep a pulse on industry trends in both digital marketing and gaming/e-commerce, including other platforms ad strategies and use this knowledge to inform and improve driffle's campaign strategy.
  • budget management: manage and allocate a significant advertising budget across campaigns to achieve optimum results. continuously seek opportunities to scale campaigns that show positive roi, while pruning or reworking underperforming spend to ensure efficient use of the budget.


requirements:

  • experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing google ads campaigns (search, display, shopping, youtube). demonstrated success in performance marketing roles, ideally in e-commerce or digital gaming industries.
  • google ads expertise: in-depth knowledge of google ads platforms and tools - including google ads editor, keyword planner, google analytics, and conversion tracking setup. experience with audience targeting, remarketing, and using bidding strategies like target roas or target cpa effectively.
  • data-driven & analytical skills: sharp analytical mindset with the ability to dissect campaign data and identify actionable insights. proficiency in analyzing key ppc metrics (ctr, cpc, cpa, conversion rate, etc.) and adjusting tactics accordingly.
  • industry experience: prior experience in digital gaming, online marketplaces, or high-growth e-commerce companies.
  • strategic mindset: ability to think beyond ppc and contribute to broader marketing strategy. experience with performance max campaigns, programmatic display, or seo/aso knowledge can be a plus, indicating a well-rounded digital marketing skill set.
