- we are looking for skilled iot test engineers with expertise in open ran to join the si test team
- the candidate would be responsible for e2e test execution, test automation, and defect resolution in a multi-vendor, cloud native telecom environment.
- the role requires a strong understanding of oran components, 3gpp standards, and a test/automation driven mindset.
responsibilities & qualification:-
key responsibilities :-
- lab integration (open ran):
- support integration and validation of cots hardware, caas/kubernetes environments, o-ru, vdu, vcu, and smo components in a test lab setup.
- test execution & 3gpp correlation:
- perform functional, performance, and interoperability testing. troubleshoot issues and correlate test behavior with 3gpp and o-ran alliance specifications.
- mop creation & validation:
- draft, review, and execute method of procedure (mop) documents to support test scenarios and infrastructure changes.
- automation development:
- implement end-to-end test case automation using scripting languages, jenkins pipelines, and frameworks like robot. ensure tests are reusable and maintainable.
- vendor coordination:
- collaborate with third-party o-ran and iot vendors to drive analysis, log review, and resolution of failed test scenarios.
required skillsets & qualifications:-
- 6+ years' experience in testing telecom or oran systems.
- strong knowledge of 3gpp specifications and oran architecture (oru, vdu, cu, smo, and so on)
- hands-on experience on kubernetes, dockers or other caas platforms.
- proficiency in scripting (python/shell) and automation tools (jenkins, robot, etc.)
- familiarity with log analysis, packet tracing (wireshark, etc.) and issue correlation.
- experience working in multi-vendor, disaggregated ran environments.
- experience with near-rt ric or non-rt ric platforms.
- knowledge of network slicing, front-haul protocols (e.g., ecpri), and timing/synchronisation requirements.
- exposure to ci/cd and devops principles in telco-grade networks.
