role: senior database administrator reports to: vp - engineering location: gurgaon responsibilities: design, implement and upgrade to cost-effective fault-tolerant architecture manage databases in cloud environments such as amazon resolving alerts and production issues troubleshoot and support existing database processes; deliver fixes and optimizations where appropriate. support software projects involving the database infrastructure and data migration developing automation procedures and applications. must -have skills: 5-8+ years of experience in information technology. at least 5 years of experience working as mongodb, mysql dba in a fast-paced, rapid-growth and intensive environment 2+ years of experience with cloud environments especially aws managed services and tools. some experience with other nosql technologies like redis, kafka experience with database performance tuning. desired skills: good programming skills (bash, python) experience with git experience with infrastructure coding tools (preferably terraform, grafana) experience working with linux os
