role summary: mid-level engineer responsible for implementing and maintaining network configurations and responding to escalated issues.
key responsibilities:
- configure and maintain infiniband/rocev2 and high-speed ethernet fabrics (100g/200g).
- implement vlans, vxlans, and qos for ai tenant separation.
- troubleshoot east-west and north-south traffic issues.
- maintain switch firmware, cabling documentation, and topology diagrams.
- assist with bgp/ospf, mlag/vpc setups under supervision of level 3.
- perform packet captures, latency checks, and support firewall and acl configurations.
- respond to alerts related to gpu node disconnections or storage network drops.
