about the role
you will be a part of the "network engineering" team. specifically, we are looking for engineers to design and architect the data center that helps create a telecom carrier agnostic infra layer that our organization and other tech stacks can use.
responsibilities include end-to-end network engineering aspects:
- as a network engineer, you will be working independently and have end-to-end ownership (architecture/design/scale/operations) of our current and newly developing networks.
- knowledge and experience in telecom sbc(mandatory)
- lead the design of highly available large-scale telephony networks, driving them from concept to launch
- work closely with our software developers to fully automate network deployment and operations
- drive operational excellence projects to improve network performance and reliability enforce and strengthen security levels of the data centers.
- troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions
- dive deep into the high severity of incidents, recommend preventative solutions, and participate in root cause analysis
- partner with our broader technical operations organization to reduce operational burden
- support in organizational transformation from reactive to proactive with a focus on predictiveness
- deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes
- drive standards across the network and ensure that we are fully compliant to those standards and policies
- participate in hiring and developing the best
- help enforce and/or tweak slas for existing deployments to improve efficiency stakeholder management
must-have
- 5 - 9 years of experience with a bachelor / master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- knowledge and experience with lan/wan/sd-wan infrastructure
- knowledge and experience in telecom sbc
- knowledge and experience with internet routing protocols and concepts: sip, webrtc, tcp/ip, vlan, bgp, ospf, mpls
- knowledge and experience with network security and various secured vpn technologies
- knowledge and experience with network operating systems such as cisco ios and junos
- experience working in a linux/unix environment, dns and dhcp
- experience in various network monitoring tools
- experience in automation via bash/shell scripting and perl/python programming
- knowledge of various end-user devices and their network interactions
- proficiency in configuring and managing networking devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, sbc
- knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills; specifically, network performance analysis
- a "devops" mindset. you own what you will develop.
