hybrid role - need to come twice in a week to office.

primary duties and responsibilities:

• manage and support lan/sdwan/vpn and san infrastructure using state-of-the-art data and network

technology.

• manage core and access switches, routers and other on-prem networking equipment.

• manage isp data circuits and internet related communication services.

• monitor performance metrics, analyze system health, and implement enhancements to improve

reliability and efficiency.

• develop technical specifications and support documents.

• establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with superiors, fellow workers,

customers and third-party vendors.

• develop project plans for implementing new installations or system upgrades.

• manage network security operations, install and maintain network hardware, edr software, firewall,

intrusion prevention system.

• perform routine backup and restore operations that align with business rpo/rto guidelines.

• design it workflow and customer guided support plans as needed.

• fulfill assigned service requests and assist help desk with escalation tickets.

• assist with organizational compliance initiatives (gdpr, pci, ccra, hipaa, etc.)

• conduct security assessments and compliance related scans, remediating vulnerabilities and other

findings as reported by the security team.

• cisco/hpe/aruba networking (layer 2 & layer 3).

• palo alto/vpn/ngips knowledge is preferred.

• azure cloud experience is preferred.

• knowledge in scripting languages (powershell, python or shell scripting) is preferred.

education and work experience:

• bs in computer science, information technology or information systems

• equivalent experience and technical training may be substituted for the education requirements

• microsoft mcse, cisco, comptia network+ or security+ certifications are preferred

• 4+ years' experience and at least 2 years in current position as a network engineer is required
