we are seeking a skilled and proactive network engineer to join our it infrastructure team. the ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing enterprise network environments, with a strong focus on firewall administration, vpn configuration, and cloud networking. this role requires a deep understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and cloud-native networking components.
key responsibilities:
- configure, manage, and maintain enterprise firewalls (fortinet, forcepoint).
- administer routers and switches, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- design, implement, and manage vlans to segment and secure network traffic.
- set up and troubleshoot site-to-site and client vpns for secure remote access.
- manage cloud networking infrastructure including:
- vpcs, subnets, transit gateways, load balancers (aws/azure/gcp).
- monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve connectivity issues.
- collaborate with security and cloud teams to ensure compliance and scalability.
- document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
must-have skill set:
- firewall management: fortinet (fortigate), forcepoint
- networking hardware: routers, switches (cisco, juniper, etc.)
- network segmentation: vlan creation and management
- vpn configuration: site-to-site and client-based vpns
