summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
data analytics support:
- support propulsion engineering with the business rules being applied for data centralization and data architecture.
- partner with the propulsion engineering data team to support the identification and implementation of new data analytic requirements with data visualization, web analytics and data science.
- partner with it and other internal business groups as necessary to support deployment and product ionization of new analytical data requirements.
- update and distribute the reoccurring reporting for the group and manage the reference tables.
- product support for the propulsion engineering webpage.
what you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):
- bachelor of engineering degree (aerospace or mechanical preferred) or comparable experience in an engineering related discipline.
- should have a technical knowledge of aircraft engines, engine shop processes, engine manuals and standards, and regulatory requirements.
- previous airline, oem or mro experience with commercial aircraft engines.
- experience with sql databases; specifically, db2, oracle, mssql, and mysql
- experience with data visualization in tableau
- experience with data analytics software packages such as alteryx, r and/or python
- familiarity with airline flight operations and support system.
