job overview:
we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented qa engineer with expertise in both automated and manual testing to ensure the quality and performance of our web applications and backend systems. the ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in test automation using python and frameworks like robot framework, combined with hands-on experience in ui/ux validation, api testing, and agile methodologies.
key responsibilities:
- design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using python and tools such as robot framework (or similar).
- perform comprehensive manual testing for web applications, with a focus on validating ui/ux workflows and business logic.
- conduct thorough api testing using postman or other rest tools to validate service reliability and performance.
- execute backend testing strategies to ensure robust data handling and integration.
- collaborate closely with development and product teams in agile/scrum environments to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- write and execute complex sql queries for data validation and backend verification.
- document test plans, test cases, and test results to ensure high traceability and compliance.
required qualifications:
- proven experience with automated testing frameworks (robot framework, pytest, or similar) in python.
- strong experience in manual testing, particularly for web applications and end-to-end user flows.
- hands-on experience with api testing tools (e.g., postman, rest-assured).
- proficiency in backend testing and database validation using sql.
- solid understanding of agile/scrum methodologies.
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- strong verbal and written communication skills.
preferred qualifications:
- experience in ci/cd tools and test integration pipelines.
- familiarity with version control systems like git.
- knowledge of performance and load testing tools is a plus.
