role overview
as a senior product ux designer, you'll be at the intersection of design, product, and engineering - championing user needs and aligning them with business goals. you'll work on strategic design challenges, shape the future of our product experiences, and help scale the ux practice within the organization. this role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, thinks in systems, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
key responsibilities
- own the end-to-end ux design process across major features or product lines.
- conduct user research and usability studies to deeply understand user behaviors, pain points, and needs.
- create and communicate user flows, wireframes, low/high-fidelity prototypes, and interaction specs.
- collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure user-centric decisions at every stage.
- continuously validate and refine designs through user testing, data analysis, and stakeholder feedback.
- lead workshops, design sprints, and collaborative sessions to co-create ideas and align teams.
- maintain and evolve our design systems, interaction patterns, and accessibility standards.
- provide mentorship and design guidance to junior designers or cross-functional peers when needed.
requirements
- 5-6 years of experience in ux or product design, with a strong focus on digital product experiences.
- a robust portfolio that demonstrates your ux process, problem-solving ability, and impact on real products.
- proficiency in tools like figma, miro, adobe xd, or equivalent.
- experience conducting and applying insights from user research (interviews, surveys, a/b testing, etc.).
- deep understanding of usability heuristics, accessibility guidelines (wcag), and interaction design principles.
- strong communication skills - you can articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders.
- comfortable working in agile product teams and partnering with product and engineering leaders.
- bonus: exposure to ux writing, behavioral psychology, or product analytics tools like mixpanel or hotjar is a plus.
