job summary:
we are looking for a highly skilled sr qa with 5-9 years of experience in both automation and manual testing. the ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills to manage and mentor a team while ensuring the highest quality standards across our products. you will be responsible for defining test strategies, leading automation initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes.
key responsibilities:
test strategy & execution:
- develop and implement comprehensive test strategies covering both manual and automated testing.
- lead end-to-end testing efforts, ensuring high-quality software releases.
- define test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
automation & manual testing:
- lead the automation testing framework and ensure maximum test coverage.
- utilize tools such as selenium, appium, jmeter, testng, cypress, playwright, or similar for automation.
- execute and oversee manual testing for complex scenarios where automation is not feasible.
- ensure robust api testing using tools like postman, restassured, or similar.
team leadership & collaboration:
- foster a culture of quality-first mindset across development teams.
- work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
- conduct regular code reviews for test scripts and suggest improvements.
continuous improvement & reporting:
- drive test automation adoption and ci/cd integration.
- monitor and analyze test results, ensuring quick defect identification and resolution.
- implement best practices for performance testing, security testing, and usability testing.
- provide regular quality reports and risk assessments to leadership.
required skills & qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in qa (both automation & manual testing).
- strong expertise in automation tools like selenium, cypress, playwright, appium, or jmeter. hands-on experience in api testing (postman, restassured).
- proficiency in scripting languages like java, python, or javascript for automation.
- strong knowledge of agile methodologies, ci/cd pipelines, and devops practices. experience in performance testing and security testing is a plus.
- excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
