we are looking for an experienced tech lead to oversee and ensure the smooth operation of our production systems and applications. this role involves managing a team responsible for performance monitoring, issue resolution, and ongoing system improvements. the ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in java, microservices, kafka, and cloud technologies, with a proven ability to troubleshoot in complex production environments.
key responsibilities:
- lead and manage a production support team to ensure 24/7 availability of critical systems.
- work within an agile environment to design, build, and implement business solutions.
- monitor application performance across mobile and desktop platforms.
- troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- develop and deploy high-quality, robust applications and business solutions.
- collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical architects to design systems and data flows.
- provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
- create effort estimations and drive the team toward successful project delivery.
- ensure adherence to best practices in software design, development, and deployment.
technical skills required:
primary:
- java/j2ee, spring boot, hibernate, microservices
- rest/soap apis, mysql, nosql (mongodb/redis)

secondary:
- linux scripting, pl/sql, angular 2.0+, mongodb
knowledge, skills, and abilities (ksas):
- strong experience with spring boot and microservices architecture
- hands-on experience with kafka and redis
- familiarity with agile/scaled agile scrum methodologies
- background in developing and deploying applications in real-time, multi-threaded environments
- working knowledge of unix/linux
- solid understanding of design patterns
- proficiency in writing and optimizing sql (queries, procedures, views, joins)
- excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- collaborative mindset and the ability to work across teams effectively
qualifications:
- associate degree in bca or a related field (minimum); bachelor's degree preferred
- equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered
