key responsibilities- develop and maintain custom wordpress themes and plugins.
- troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wordpress functionality, performance, and compatibility.
- work closely with designers and content teams to implement responsive and accessible ui/ux designs.
- optimize websites for speed, scalability, and seo.
- ensure security best practices and keep wordpress installations, themes, and plugins up to date.
- integrate third-party apis and external services as needed.
- write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
required skills & qualifications- proven experience as a wordpress developer (3+ years preferred).
- strong proficiency in php, mysql, html5, css3, javascript, and jquery.
- deep understanding of wordpress core, themes, and plugin architecture.
- experience with advanced custom fields (acf), wpbakery, elementor, or other page builders.
- familiarity with git version control and collaborative workflows.
- experience integrating restful apis.
- strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
- ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues independently.
- good understanding of security best practices for wordpress environments.
