Republic Media Network is looking for a sharp and research-driven News / Content Researcher to support business news shows and digital content across social media platforms. The role involves tracking breaking business news, market trends, startup developments, corporate stories, and global economic updates to support editorial and digital content teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and track business, finance, economy, startup, technology, and market-related news stories.
• Identify trending and viral business topics suitable for digital and social media content.
• Support anchors, producers, and editorial teams with facts, data points, background research, and story briefs.
• Monitor business developments across social media platforms including YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Assist in creating research notes, content summaries, headlines, captions, and discussion pointers for digital shows and videos.
• Track competitor content trends and audience engagement patterns across platforms.
• Ensure accuracy, speed, and editorial reliability in all research inputs.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in news research, business journalism, digital content, or editorial operations.
• Strong understanding of business news, markets, startups, economy, and corporate affairs.
• Excellent English communication and writing skills.
• Strong internet research, analytical, and fact-checking abilities.
• Familiarity with social media trends and digital news consumption patterns.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment with quick turnaround timelines.

Preferred Background

Candidates with prior experience in business newsrooms, digital media platforms, financial content teams, or social media news operations will be preferred.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a content researcher/copywriter at Inkit, in Ahmedabad. Along with project coordination, the content researcher/copywriter will be responsible for conducting research, developing content strategies, writing engaging and impactful content, and crafting compelling stories that align with our client's brand identity.
