the us subsidiary (handling sales and distribution in north america) of a bahrain based aluminum smelter seeks an accounts payable / accounts receivable accountant. key responsibilities: - process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently - obtain necessary approvals for invoice payments - investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices - prepare and process payments to vendors - reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding balances - assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations - maintain organized electronic records of invoices and payments - provide support to other finance team members as needed - primary backup for accounts receivable function qualifications: - associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred - 2 - 5 years experience in accounts payable or related finance role preferred - proficiency in microsoft excel and accounting software - strong attention to detail and accuracy - excellent organizational and time management skills - ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - effective communication and interpersonal skills - works well in a team environment and with minimal supervision - ability to maintain confidential information we are a small team based primarily in colony square (midtown, atlanta). we offer the following: paid time off medical / dental / vision insurance 401k and company match paid parking willing to consider a hybrid schedule for the right candidate. salary range: $45,000 - $55,000
