key responsibilities
â install, program, calibrate, and maintain automation and electrical equipment.
â diagnose and resolve issues in control systems, plcs, and instrumentation.
â support field operations with technical expertise on rtus, sensors, and networked equipment.
â comply with industry codes and company's process control and moc standards.
â use sap or other cmms tools to track and document maintenance activities.
â participate in on-call rotation and respond to automation-related field issues.
â travel to various field locations and work in elevated or confined areas when needed.
minimum required qualifications
â education: hs degree or a ged
â experience:o 3+ years as an automation technician or specialist.
3+ years in oil and gas field operations.
o strong troubleshooting skills with rtus, plcs (ladder logic, structured text), and hmis.o familiar with analog/discrete i/o, ac/dc circuits, and industrial network protocols (ethernet,serial).o working knowledge of codes such as api, nec, nfpa, isa, and ieee.
â tools: proficient with microsoft office suite and windows os.
preferred qualifications
â 7+ years in the oil field, including 3+ years in upstream automation.
â familiarity with allen-bradley, rosemount systems, and industrial networks (controlnet,ethernet i/p, rf communications).
â ability to read and interpret p&ids, wiring diagrams, and cause & effect matrices.
â strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
