we are actively seeking an experienced cnc programmer to join and grow in the ppg organization. tampa bay machining, a princeton precision group company, is seeking an experienced cnc programmer to support their production team. the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience programming 3-5 axis cnc equipment.

requirements:

• program parts in conformance with the router process
• daily shop floor responsibilities including addressing in the moment challenges will be a large portion of the responsibilities of this role
• set up/prove out your program on the cnc machine, if needed.
• program from solid model files, drawings, and sketches
• read and interpret blueprints and design models
• develop fixtures and work holding devices
• provide fully dimensional prints for the shop floor on parts that have reduced dimension drawings
• attend training on new or current software as needed
• coordinate with engineering and quality to resolve blueprint and model issues related to the programming and machining of various parts

knowledge, skills, and abilities

• program 3-4 axis machines
• 5 axis programming preferred but not required
• lathe programming preferred but not required
• proficient in geometric tolerancing
• high school diploma or equivalent
• 5 or more years of mastercam experience
• experience with tight tolerance manufacturing
• 5 or more years of experience setting up cnc machinery
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• expert level attention to detail

compensation:

• compensation for this role is based upon years of industry specific experience
