we're hiring a commercial hvac maintenance sales rep to drive new business through prospecting, client meetings, and closing service agreements. this is a true hunter role-land the deal, then hand it off to our ops team.

compensation: $80,000 base salary + performance-based commission
commission plan: 5% commission on all booked revenue above $200,000 annually. once you achieve 75% of your annual revenue goal, you'll also earn a 1% annual annuity on all active accounts you originally sold.

job responsibilities:
- prospect and initiate contact through calls, site visits, referrals, and local networking.
- conduct at least two (2) building surveys per week to assess potential maintenance opportunities.
- submit a minimum of two (2) proposals per week using our standardized estimating tool and format.
- meet with decision-makers to understand their facility needs and present tailored maintenance solutions.
- negotiate and close maintenance agreements with confidence and professionalism.
- use crm software to document and track all opportunities, proposals, and interactions.
- coordinate with service and operations teams to ensure exclusions/inclusions are clearly documented and transferred.
- perform visual job site inspections to ensure a safe environment before technicians are dispatched.
required skills & experience:
- 2+ years in sales, customer service, or a client-facing role is preferred but not required.
- strong communication skills with a professional, approachable presence.
- confidence on the phone and in person-you're energized by people and conversation.
- high emotional intelligence-you listen well, respond thoughtfully, and build trust naturally.
- resilience and drive-you're persistent and bounce back quickly from rejection.
- self-starter mindset-you thrive on goals and take ownership of your outcomes.
- ability to learn quickly-we'll train you on hvac; you bring the energy and commitment.
- familiarity with microsoft office and crm software (servicetitan experience is a plus).
