a leading industrial manufacturer is seeking a dynamic vp of manufacturing to oversee its full-scope production facility in houston. this is a senior leadership role that will drive operational performance, strategic growth, and team culture within a technically complex manufacturing environment. previous p&l responsibilities and ownership is essential.

the ideal candidate will bring strong experience in custom fabrication, project delivery, and operations management across engineering-driven industries. you'll take ownership of end-to-end production - from design and procurement to qa/qc, scheduling, and fulfillment - while leading cross-functional teams and ensuring top-tier quality and safety.

key responsibilities:

• lead daily operations across engineering, production, logistics, and supply chain functions
• oversee site financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and margin optimization
• manage execution of both custom-engineered projects and standardized product lines
• build a culture of accountability, team development, and continuous improvement
• ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry regulations
• serve as the primary liaison to international offices to align global production workflows
• collaborate with executive leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and strategic alignment

what we're looking for:

• 10-15+ years of progressive leadership in a manufacturing or engineering setting
• strong experience managing p&l and leading multifunctional teams
• background in technical product fabrication, project-based manufacturing, or industrial production
• familiarity with lean, six sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
• excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
