job summary

the ems educator will be responsible for delivering education to department, service line, community outreach, and partner agencies. the educational professional will assume the functions of teaching and assisting with various education programs in the health system, ems, and community partners. responsibilities include delivering and assisting with developing curriculum, teaching, and delivering multiple curricula/educational programs and assigned projects. the educator will interact with many disciplines and agencies and will educate at the basic community responder level up to advanced adult and pediatric life support. this position will require flexibility in hours/days of the week.

• preferred: associate's degree in related field or equivalent

experience

• preferred: three years experience in a related field preferred, experience in a clinical specialty (ems), experience, and ability to manage multiple assignments at one time.

• required: current missouri licensure as an emt-p, driver s license (class e) or greater (cdl) for the operation of an ambulance in the state of residence.
• preferred: instructor certification in bls, acls, pals, vfis, handtevy, and phtls. (to be obtained within one year of appointment)
