job specifications:
- must possess math skills for counting, addition, subtraction, and multiplication
- must have excellent attendance and work records
- must be able to stand for long periods
- must possess the ability to read schedules, product information, and technical language
- manufacturing experience a plus
- high school education preferred
- willingness to work overtime when necessary or required
work environment: plant, exposure to excessive heat, noise
work pace: fast-must maintain pace with the lines; consistent pace is necessary
essential tasks and responsibilities:
- counting and packaging finished products (including quantity)
- detecting quality defects
- preventing contamination of material
- housekeeping in work area, including equipment
- peeling and grinding plastic
- following instructions of lead person and help other line operators
- communicating any maintenance/equipment problems observed
- follow safety policies
- complete all projects and duties as assigned
- firing up sheet lines
- clean grinders that are under lock-out/tag-out
- utilize idle time wisely i.e., clean, inquire, assist others
- understand how your job impacts the iso-9000 policy
