position summary: we are seeking a highly motivated field team leader to join our expanding operations. this pivotal role involves traveling to various jersey mike's locations to provide hands-on support, training, and operational guidance to store managers and their teams. the ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a passion for developing talent and optimizing store performance. this position is a stepping stone towards general and district manager positions.
key responsibilities:
- collaborate closely with store managers to identify training needs and operational areas for improvement.
- conduct on-site training sessions for new and existing staff members on all aspects of jersey mike's operations, including food preparation, customer service standards, cleanliness, and brand protocols.
- implement and reinforce best practices to ensure consistent quality and efficiency across all assigned locations.
- assist managers in developing and implementing strategies to elevate overall store operations, enhance customer experience, and achieve sales goals.
- provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- monitor operational compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and brand standards.
- act as a liaison between store management and regional leadership, reporting on progress and challenges.
- support new store openings or special projects as needed.
qualifications:
- previous experience in a leadership role within the food service or quick-service restaurant (qsr) industry, preferably with multi-unit experience.
- proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff effectively.
- strong understanding of restaurant operations, including inventory management, cost control, and customer service.
- excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- ability to work independently and manage time effectively while traveling.
- must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- flexibility to travel frequently to various jersey mike's locations.
- high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in hospitality management are a plus.
