description:
position purpose: this position will focus on the financial reporting process as well as various monthly and quarterly accounting tasks and projects.
what you'll do:
- assist the financial reporting processes with the securities and exchange commission and regulatory bodies, forms 8-k, 10-q/k, call report, fdicia, fr y-4, fr y-6, fr y8, fr y-9 and fr y-10, by:
- preparing various footnote disclosures and reporting schedules.
- maintaining supporting schedules and documentation.
- become proficient using active disclosure reporting software.
- continuous learning of the reporting cycle and changing requirements.
- create monthly and quarterly general ledger entries related to holding company.
- prepare files for monthly and quarterly variance analysis and assist with research of variances for presentation to management and external auditors.
- draft monthly writeups for non-interest income & expense variances.
- assist in loan accounting functions, including journal entries and preparing and maintaining monthly reports for non-core loan portfolios.
- collections reports
- repossessed assets
- preparation of the cecl calculation (data import and balancing).
- assist with user access control testing.
- other duties within the finance department as needed.
requirements:

- 5+ years accounting/public company experience
- knowledge of microsoft office

working conditions:
the individual will be required to be available after normal working hours. business travel may be necessary to meet with vendors and attend training opportunities. occasional hours beyond standard scheduling may be required to meet critical deadlines.
