summary: intake customer vehicles, diagnoses problems and service needs, schedules work, assigns jobs to service technicians and communicates job status to customer.
essential duties: - assist service manager in maintaining an efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
- up-sell services to customers by informing them of service specials and any additional work needed.
- provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers
- thoroughly understand customers concerns and clearly describe them on the work order.
- estimate costs and completion dates at time of sale and communicate them to the customer.
- assign jobs the technicians based on skill level and current resource availability.
- review work in progress to ensure timely completion and inform customer immediately of any delays or additional costs.
- determine correct parts and part numbers for work to be performed and insure they are all sold to work order prior to closing work order
- complete estimates for internal and customer accident repairs
- ensure all customer, internal and warranty repair orders are opened and closed correctly and in a timely fashion.
- follow procedures to ensure quick and efficient submission of warranty claims. monitor claims on a daily bases and make any correction or resubmissions immediately.
- be familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer systems required for service advisor and warranty management.
