about the position:

a heavy equipment operator is responsible for the following:

• operate heavy equipment machinery in a strategic manner
• perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment
• identify waste type for materials processing
• direct on-site truck traffic
• maintain consistent communication via two-way radios and hand signals
• perform all tasks in a safe and timely manner
• provide customer service
• upkeep the general cleanliness of the facility

preferred experience:

• waste industry
• volvo ec240blc high top excavator
• front end articulating loader experience
• komatsu 270, 320, 380
• john deere 190 dw

physical demands:

individual must have the consistent ability to:

• stand and walk during a significant portion of their shift
• lift, push, and pull 50-75lbs
• maintain 3 consciousness of peripheral safety hazards
• operate heavy equipment machinery
