summary of responsibilities:
keeps working areas in production and office departments of the industrial facility clean, safe, and orderly by performing janitorial duties and supporting general maintenance efforts in a heavy manufacturing/foundry environment.
essential duties and responsibilities:
- clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and break areas.
- sweep, mop, or dry floors, including production walkways and common areas.
- clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, corridors, and other assigned areas.
- wash walls, ceilings, windows, doors, and sills.
- empty trash and recycling containers; transport waste to designated disposal or recycling areas.
- replenish bathroom and breakroom supplies as needed.
- maintain sidewalk safety during winter months, including snow removal and salting.
- pick up refuse from plant grounds and maintain exterior cleanliness.
- follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate ppe when working in or around production areas.
- assist with light maintenance tasks or special cleaning projects as assigned.

physical requirements:

- frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs; occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
- must be able to work in hot, loud, and dusty environments typical of a foundry setting.
education and experience requirements:
- high school diploma or ged preferred
- good attendance record.
- ability to follow baker manufacturing procedures and policies.
- must possess or be able to obtain a valid forklift operator's license.
