position overview:

under the general direction of the neighborhood superintendent, the neighborhood superintendent assistant will be responsible for ensuring redwood is keeping the sites clean and safe for our residents and operating related equipment. as such, you will be expected to act as a redwood brand ambassador, promote our brand and provide the best resident experience possible. all redwood employees are expected to conduct all organizational business and practices in accordance with redwood policies.

essential duties & responsibilities

  • assist the neighborhood superintendent with the coordinate and supervision of construction activities
  • perform general job site clean up
  • run errands as needed to obtain needed tools and/or equipment
  • load materials as needed
  • assist general trades (carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing)
  • removal and hauling of debris to on-site dumpsters
  • general site maintenance
  • develop a thorough understanding of all design and contract documents
  • maintain a positive relationship with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and building officials and inspectors
  • identify job site safety hazards and report issues to the neighborhood superintendent
  • identify constructability issues, design deficiencies, code violations and any other issues
  • maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including project schedules and logs in pm web
  • all other related duties as assigned

required qualifications, education & certifications:

  • high school diploma or ged preferred
  • job site experience preferred
  • valid driver's license required

working conditions:

this job operates in a professional construction environment. in this role, the employee will routinely use standard construction equipment and may be tasked to operate a company vehicle. the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, and walk with the ability to life 50 pounds where applicable.
