purpose of the position

to provide our customers with superior service by utilizing your knowledge and experience to help answer questions, trouble-shoot problems, and provide solutions to those customers and their needs.

summary

as a member of action truck parts, parts counter representatives are responsible for selling parts over-the-counter, over-the-phone, and occasionally, on-line, to our customers and doing so with the highest level of customer service.

duties and responsibilities

• assisting customers in selecting and purchasing the correct parts.
• providing pricing and product information to customers.
• assisting with inventory validation.
• contributing to departmental production and profitability goals.
• maintaining customer satisfaction at or above company standards.
• answering telephones promptly and professionally.
• ability to apply common sense when needed, while staying within action guidelines.
• work cohesively and efficiently with the team.
• perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

job requirements

• valid driver's license with good driving record
• some heavy lifting required
• promotes and maintains a positive, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within department

• must be able to demonstrates positive resourcefulness & versatility in a fast-paced, changing priority, environment

skills/qualifications

• strong customer service skills
• 3-5 years of truck parts experience strongly preferred
• aftermarket experience preferred
