the planner will support our operations in the custom stair part manufacturing industry. this role is essential in maintaining accurate records, processing orders, and ensuring smooth communication between departments and customers. the ideal candidate will be proactive, efficient, and capable of managing multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- document management:
- file shipped orders, purchase orders, and receiving slips accurately and promptly.
- maintain organized and up-to-date physical and digital filing systems.
- maintain documentation, vendor communications, and compliance with company purchasing procedures.
- order processing:
- process incoming customer orders, including those that do not require a quote.
- coordinate with sales and production teams to ensure order accuracy and timely fulfillment.
- shipping & logistics:
- maintain the daily shipping log and pool truck shipping log.
- assist in coordinating shipments and communicating with logistics providers as needed.
- collaborate with supply chain, production, and customer service to maintain timely and efficient production schedules.
- customer support:
- handle catalog requests and ensure timely distribution to customers.
- provide administrative support to the sales team and respond to customer inquiries.
- coordinates with vendors, customers, and internal staff to resolve issues and eliminate delays.
- general office support:
- assist with data entry, document preparation, and internal communications.
- support other departments with administrative tasks as needed.
- assist management with special projects and initiatives.
- empowered to make decisions in partnership with their leader while also balancing input from cross-functional team members.
requirements:
- high school diploma or equivalent.
- minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- proficient in microsoft office suite (word, excel, outlook
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
