professional land surveyor (p.l.s.)

location: st. charles, mo or jefferson county, mo
full-time in-office monday-friday

a well-established, multi-disciplinary surveying and engineering firm in the st. louis region is seeking a professional land surveyor (p.l.s.) to join our growing team. we are looking for a licensed professional with strong technical knowledge, field-to-finish experience, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple project types.

this position offers long-term stability, diverse project exposure, and the opportunity to work on some of the most impactful property development efforts in the region.

key responsibilities:

• perform and oversee property boundary and alta/nsps land surveys

• make professional decisions regarding boundary resolutions in accordance with applicable laws

• conduct property boundary research and coordinate survey efforts with field crews

• reduce and analyze field data, complete traverse calculations and adjustments

• review and interpret title commitments and legal descriptions

• prepare plats, legal descriptions, boundary adjustments, and survey documents per jurisdictional requirements

• collaborate with clients, attorneys, municipalities, contractors, engineers, and planners

required qualifications:

• current p.l.s. license in missouri and/or illinois

• minimum 5 years of experience in land boundary and alta/nsps surveys

• proficiency in autocad (civil 3d preferred)

• solid understanding of boundary law and title research

• strong written and verbal communication skills

• ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a professional office setting
