southwest electric co. is looking for a repair technician for our tulsa field service location.

repair technician field service summary:

• perform any/all substation equipment maintenance and repair activities with minimal oversight.
• must understand substation equipment and components functionality, maintenance requirements and repair processes.
• operate oil processing rig to recondition insolating oil in high voltage equipment (transformers).

repair technician field service essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• must have a working knowledge of required substation maintenance and repair activities.
• inspect, repair and maintain substation equipment, such as oil circuit breakers and transformers.
• tests oil in circuit breakers and transformers for dielectric strength.
• travel to site and set up processing rig by running hose to transformer being processed.
• must be willing and able to travel on overnight, multi-day, out of town jobs and work regular overtime including nights, weekends and some holidays.

requirements:

repair technician field service qualifications:

• ability to pass a pre-employment dot drug screen, and physical.
• complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check.
• must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• ability to lift 50 + lbs., climb ladders, walk, and stand or sit for extended periods of time.

repair technician field service education and/or experience:

• high school diploma or ged required
• 3 years direct industry experience maintaining and repairing substation equipment.
• experience driving oil processing rig preferred.
• electrical theory education and/or mechanical maintenance education preferred.
• training in a technical discipline is a plus.

certificates, licenses, registrations:

• class a cdl preferred
