at by the yard, we build premium outdoor furniture designed to last for decades. as a showroom consultant, you will be part of a team that helps customers feel at home outdoors by guiding them through our products, answering their questions, and delivering a great experience every step of the way.

this is not a commission-based role. we focus on relationships, not pressure. many customers visit us after thinking about their purchase for years. they are looking for thoughtful support and guidance, not a sales pitch.

what you'll do

• welcome customers to the showroom and help them choose products that fit their needs
• answer phone calls and emails with professionalism, clarity, and care
• share product knowledge and help customers feel confident about their choices
• process quotes and orders, enter accurate customer information into our systems
• keep the showroom clean, organized, and aligned with brand standards
• support events, fairs, and trade shows as needed
• assist with tasks that keep the team running smoothly, including shipping support and general showroom maintenance

requirements:

what you'll bring

• one to three years of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service
• clear, friendly communication skills in person and over the phone
• strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with care
• a proactive approach and a willingness to support your team wherever needed
• familiarity with basic technology, including microsoft office
• availability to work a retail schedule that includes evenings and saturdays
• high school diploma or equivalent
