position overview

as a sales representative, you will be responsible for developing new business and managing existing accounts within the oilfield construction sector. your primary focus will be to identify opportunities, prepare and deliver proposals, and serve as a key point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

key responsibilities

1. identify and pursue new business opportunities with oil & gas operators, midstream companies, and related industries.
2. build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
3. understand customer requirements and coordinate with operations teams to prepare bids and proposals.
4. stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and regional market developments.
5. attend industry networking events, trade shows, and client meetings as needed.
6. report sales activity and forecasts to management regularly.

requirements

1. proven experience in sales within oilfield services or oilfield construction (5+ years preferred).
2. existing network of industry contacts in the permian basin strongly preferred.
3. excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
4. self-motivated with a hunter mentality - driven to meet and exceed targets.
5. ability to travel throughout west texas as needed.
