summary

the sanitation 1st shift helper maintains a clean, safe, and orderly working environment within our production areas. this role plays a vital part in supporting overall production hygiene and operational efficiency.

essential duties and responsibilities

• pick up and remove trash and waste from all production areas.
• transport waste to designated disposal locations.
• sweep and maintain clean floors throughout the facility.
• prepare sanitizer mixture using an automatic mixing station.
• spray and sanitize production floors.
• allow sanitized floors to air dry.
• perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned.

requirements:

education and experience:

• no prior experience or training required - we provide on-the-job training.

language skills:

• ability to read simple words and instructions.
• recognize similarities and differences in words and numbers.
• communicate using basic written and spoken sentences.

mathematical skills:

• basic ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.
• understand basic units such as weight, volume, and distance/

reasoning ability:

• ability to follow simple instructions and work in routine environments.
• handle standard situations with minimal variation.

physical requirements

• regular use of hands to handle materials and equipment.
• frequent standing, walking, and reaching with arms and hands.
• occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, or hearing
• must frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• visual abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

work environment

• frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• loud noise levels typical of a production environment.
