the account manager is a vital role that requires proactive, hands-on management of existing customer relationships and the development of new business. the ideal candidate will be well-versed in the plumbing and hvac industries, attend job walks, make regular visits to facilities, and build strong relationships with clients to foster business growth. this position involves bidding projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving the expansion of our customer base.
key responsibilities:
1.client relationship management:
- build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- attend job walks and makes frequent site visits to customer facilities to ensure smooth project execution and address client needs in person.
- be the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries and project updates.
- ensure clients receive timely and quality service while addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
2.project bidding and timely execution:
- manage and bid projects promptly, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
- work closely with customers to understand project scope, requirements, and provide timely bids that meet client expectations.
- follow through on project execution, from bidding to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
3.business development and growth:
- drive business growth by developing new customers and expanding the company's client base.
- build and manage your own book of business, identifying opportunities for new contracts, services, and business ventures.
- strategize and implement growth plans that align with company goals and objectives.
4.industry expertise:
- leverage your diverse knowledge in the plumbing and hvac industries to provide valuable insights to clients and ensure effective solutions.

qualifications:
experience:
at least 10 years of experience in account management, business development, or sales, with a strong background in plumbing or hvac industries.
skills:
- proven experience in bidding and managing projects within the plumbing/hvac industries.
- strong communication with a focus on relationship-building.
- demonstrated ability to develop and manage a book of business and achieve sales targets.

compensation:
- salary: $90,000 - $95,000 annually
