i am seeking a compassionate and skilled special education teacher to support students with a range of learning needs. this role will involve creating and implementing individualized education programs (ieps), working closely with general education teachers, and ensuring that students receive the tailored support they need to succeed academically and socially.
key responsibilities :
develop and implement individualized education programs (ieps) for students with disabilities.
provide individualized instruction to students in small group or one-on-one settings, focusing on academic goals and social development.
collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and materials to meet the needs of students in inclusive classroom environments.
monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary to ensure academic success.
participate in iep meetings and maintain effective communication with students' families and support staff.
ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including the individuals with disabilities education act (idea).
qualifications :
bachelor's or master's degree in special education or a related field.
massachusetts special education teaching certification.
experience working with students with diverse learning needs, particularly in a school setting, is preferred.
strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
