american traveler is hiring a special education teacher with active lbs1 and pel credentials for a day shift position serving elementary or middle school students.

responsibilities

• work in a public school setting within the special education unit
• day shift schedule from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, monday through friday
• caseload includes either elementary or middle school students; please specify preference
• assignment runs from august 18, 2025, to may 9, 2026
• primary responsibilities include instructional planning and delivery for students with special needs
• collaboration with support staff and general education teachers is expected
• no references required for initial consideration
• successful fingerprinting and background check required prior to starting assignment

requirements

• valid lbs1 (learning behavior specialist 1) and pel (professional educator license) in hand
• resume required for consideration
• must be in state to complete fingerprinting through the district prior to start; results can take 5-10 days
• license required if applicable
