essential functions

  • leads clinical operations for emergency services, establishing and implementing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent and quality patient care.
  • develops and executes strategic initiatives to support growth, resource optimization, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership to monitor performance metrics, implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • provides leadership and direction to clinical management and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • ensures staff training, competency, and professional development are aligned with clinical standards and organizational objectives.
  • oversees patient safety and risk management initiatives within the department, addressing issues proactively and ensuring a safe care environment.

qualifications
  • bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field required
  • 8-10 years of experience in clinical management, with significant experience in a senior leadership role within a specialized service line (e.g., emergency, surgical) required
  • 4-6 years of experience in management in a large tertiary facility or market required
  • experience in leading successful performance improvement efforts in an acute care setting required

licenses and certifications
  • rn - registered nurse - state licensure and/or compact state licensure required
