responsibilities - perform structural design and analysis tasks for projects, including bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects under the oversight of a senior engineer
- prepare contract documents for bridge design projects, including design calculations, developments of plans, specifications, quantities, and estimates, and submittal of reviews during construction
- prepare detailed plans for assigned bridge engineering tasks
- occasional field site visits
requirements: - bs in civil engineering required, ms in civil/structural engineering (preferred)
- eit certification (preferred)
- one to four years of experience
- microstation and/or autocad experience (preferred)
- familiarity with aashto lrfd code requirements, familiarity with local market design and detail requirements (preferred)
- experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production of bridge projects following federal, state, and local standards, in particular, odot, and/or wsdot standards. experience in ca or wa considered a plus.
- familiarity with structural engineering and analysis software
- excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in cooperative, team environments
