Main Purpose:
The Senior Environmental Engineer is responsible for arranging regular environmental monitoring, assisting in the implementation of environmental permit conditions, and preparing and submitting environmental compliance reports to statutory bodies. The role also involves contributing to Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) improvement initiatives and improving environmental conditions and greenbelt development at sites.
Job Accountabilities:
- Facilitate and assist in achieving environmental statutory compliance at the site.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory reports such as Environment Statements, Environment Audit Reports, Annual Returns under Hazardous Waste Management Rules and Biomedical Waste Management Rules, monthly reports, and six-monthly EC compliance reports, etc.
- Responsible for environmental compliance management, sustainability audits, CTO renewal, and EC and FC processes.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (ISO 14001), procedures, and standards.
- Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the Environmental Management System to avoid environmental incidents.
- Plan and ensure Water, Noise, Ambient Air Quality, and Stack Emission Monitoring through MoEFCC-approved agencies.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Environmental Engineer, based in Chennai.
- Execute on-site project activities.
- Supervise installation, commissioning, testing, and trial operations of wastewater treatment systems.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, vendors, and contractors during project execution.
- Prepare technical documentation, progress reports, and site-related updates.
- Support engineering teams in troubleshooting and system optimization when required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Wastewater Treatment.
- 2–5 years of experience working on STP/ETP/WWTP projects (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with high self-motivation.
- Strong command of English communication (written and verbal).
