Blood bank Laboratory Technician

We are hiring a skilled and responsible Blood Bank Technician to join our laboratory team focused on the production of human platelet lysate (hPL) from expired platelet units. This role is ideal for a technician with blood banking experience who is looking to contribute to research and regenerative medicine by utilizing otherwise discarded biological materials in a high-quality, GMP-compliant setting.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and log expired Platelet Concentrate (PC) and Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) units from certified blood bank
  • Follow SOPs for the preparation of human platelet lysate from expired platelet units
  • Perform quality control checks, including sterility screening, pH, turbidity, and contamination assessment
  • Operate centrifuges, freezers, plasma extractors, and related laboratory equipment
  • Handle biological material safely and ensure traceability of all processed batches
  • Maintain cleanroom hygiene and aseptic processing standards
  • Document every step in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and/or GMP requirements

Eligibility

  • Diploma / B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed blood bank or transfusion laboratory
  • Familiarity with handling expired blood components for research purposes (preferred)
  • Knowledge of blood grouping, serological testing, and aseptic techniques
  • Experience with centrifugation, freezing protocols (-80 C), and biosafety practices
  • Ability to follow SOPs, maintain records, and work in a regulated environment
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory standards such as NABL, NACO, or CDSCO is desirable

This position is responsible for providing generic drug product labeling for pharmaceutical products based on reference listed drug labeling and health authority issued guidance in line with Sandoz internal policy and procedure. To support in labeling preparation and/or review for new submission, life cycle management through change controls, launch activities, and for other business partnership deals as required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Major Responsibilities but not limited to:

1. Prepare labeling for submission by gathering all required source documents from all function/partners, internal/external stakeholders across geolocations.

2. Prepare and/or review submission package consisting of mock-up labels, draft prescribing information, side-by-side comparison, and structured product labeling (SPL) in both pregnancy and lactation labeling rule (PLLR) and non-PLLR formats.

3. Coordinate with other stakeholders (such as artwork studio, CMC, site technical representative) to create, review, and approve the labeling, such as package inserts, medication guide, patient information leaflet, container and carton labels for new submission and life cycle submission.

4. Capable to work independently within labeling team and across other functions.

5. Responsible for the drug product registrations via structured product labeling (SPL), maintenance of product drug listings and delisting, labeling posting to DailyMed database.

6. Responsible to assess the impact of new changes and/or proposals and drive implementation through creation and/or review of change controls for completeness and accuracy in line with Sandoz internal procedure and practice.

7. Participate in department and project meeting during county local business hours. Maintain centralized labeling tracker for all responsible products in tracking apps, Microsoft excel and SharePoint etc.,

8. Responsible for providing timely and valid guidance to labeling questions for both internal and external partners. Responsible for meeting all deliverables timeline and commitments with all internal and external partners. Desired Characteristics

Basic Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree and minimum with 6 years of experience in pharmaceuticals industry experience, with 3 of those years in regulatory affairs labeling. Master degree a plus!
  • Must have strong regulatory labeling knowledge and process-oriented mind set to solve problems for pharmaceutical products.

What You'll Be Working On

You'll be the developer on the project - working directly with the Product Leads, who brings 14+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud, and platform design. You'll get feature direction and support, but you'll be expected to take full ownership of implementation.

You'll build:

• Dynamic form-driven lab creation and configuration flows

• Backend workflows for secure student-to-VM assignment

• A scheduler engine to auto-launch and shut down labs

    Role Summary

    • Deliver Sourcing and Category Management for the Contingent Labor category in the Americas region (LATAM, US and Canada). Majority of spend is in the U.S.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage team member activities including setting individual targets, team targets and performance monitoring

    • Lead supplier review meetings with business stakeholders and suppliers to assess supplier performance and contract compliance and take corrective action as required. Promote vendor capabilities within the organization. Provide official communication to suppliers as necessary.
    • Negotiate Savings and best possible commercials across the contingent labor category. Track and report savings.
    • Establish and report on measurable performance metrics for all procurement activities including supplier performance, payment terms, contractual terms, savings, and spend under management
    • Establish and develop relationships with all key stakeholders: suppliers, internal customers; engaging with internal recruitment team, procurement, payables and other business stakeholders.
    • Assist in providing procurement solutions to our clients
    • Drive value added activities by implementing innovative strategies that both support and align with the organization's priorities and goals

    Key Skills/Experience:

    • 5+ years Procurement experience delivering contingent labor category sourcing/buying services, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
    • Advanced knowledge of the US contingent labor marketplace (e.g. suppliers, rates, labor laws, technology, rate benchmarking tools)
    • Exposure to contract laws, negotiation, market dynamics, commercial strategy, strategic sourcing, contract management and supply relationship management
    • Experience evaluating, selecting, and implementing a VMS technology

    Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
