The Principal SAP Logistics (SAP LE) Business Analyst is a senior-level functional expert responsible for leading the design, configuration, and optimization of logistics execution processes. This role requires deep expertise in SAP LE modules, including Shipping, Transportation, and Warehouse Logistics, along with strong integration experience across SD, MM, WM/EWM, and PP.

The Principal Analyst partners with Supply Chain, Distribution, Transportation, and IT leadership to deliver scalable and efficient logistics execution solutions in SAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Logistics Execution Process Leadership
• Lead end-to-end SAP LE process design, covering
• Outbound & Inbound Deliveries
• Shipping & Transportation
• Freight Costing
• Picking, Packing & Post-Goods Issue
• Handling Units & Batch Management
• Conduct blueprinting sessions and document detailed functional requirements.
• Define logistics execution best practices and ensure consistent process governance.
• SAP LE Configuration & Optimization

Configure SAP LE components:

• Delivery types, item categories, and copy controls
• Shipping point and route determination
• Transportation planning and execution
• Handling Unit Management
• Packing instructions and warehouse activities
• Support configuration for integration with WM/EWM, including delivery-based picking and packing.
• Cross-Functional Integration

Collaborate closely with:

• SAP SD (Order-to-Cash, Billing, Delivery Creation)
• SAP MM (Inbound Deliveries, Inventory Movements)
• SAP PP (Production Deliveries, Staging)
• SAP EWM/WM (Warehouse Activities & Execution)
• Work with business partners to align logistics processes with supply chain, transportation, and distribution strategies.
• Project & Implementation Leadership
• Lead SAP LE workstreams for global implementations, upgrades, and S/4HANA conversions.
• Prepare functional specs for enhancements, forms, labels, RFID, and transportation-related interfaces (WRICEF).
• Drive testing cycles-Unit, SIT, UAT-and manage overall quality and defect resolution.
• Support data migration activities for logistics objects (deliveries, transportation lanes, HU data).
• Production Support & Continuous Improvement
• Provide Tier-3 support for complex logistics execution issues.
• Identify process gaps and propose system improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
• Develop training materials, SOPs, and process documentation.
• Support SAP release updates and regression testing efforts.

Required Qualifications

• 10-14 years of experience as an SAP LE / Logistics Execution functional consultant or analyst.
• Strong configuration experience in SAP LE Shipping, Transportation, and Handling Unit Management.
• Hands-on experience with delivery processing, freight costing, packing, and logistics reporting.
• Experience working in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong cross-functional integration skills with SD, MM, PP, and WM/EWM.
