SEO-First Content Creation:

Lead the creation of high-quality, search-optimised content across blogs, landing pages, LoB pages, support pages, FAQs, and evergreen content hubs - ensuring alignment with keyword strategy, search intent, and user journeys.

Search Intent & Keyword Strategy Ownership:

Translate keyword research, content gaps, and SERP insights into actionable content plans. Map keywords to intent stages and ensure all content serves a clear SEO and business objective.

Complex Topic Simplification for Search:

Break down insurance and finance-led topics into clear, structured, and search-friendly content that improves rankings, and user comprehension while adhering to E-E-A-T principles.

Long-form SEO & Authority Content:

Own long-form SEO assets such as pillar pages, guides, explainers, and thought leadership pieces designed to build topical authority, improve internal linking, and support long-term organic growth.

On-Page SEO Excellence:

Ensure best practices across content - including headings, metadata, internal linking, schema-ready structuring, readability, and content freshness - without compromising editorial quality.

SEO Performance & Optimisation:

Continuously analyse content performance using tools and dashboards. Drive content refreshes, optimisation sprints, pruning, and consolidation to improve rankings, CTR, and conversions.

Cross-functional SEO Collaboration:

Partner closely with SEO, product, design, and compliance teams to ensure content supports technical SEO initiatives, site architecture, and new launches.

Editorial SEO Governance:

Set and maintain SEO content guidelines, tone-of-voice standards, and best practices across all written assets. Act as the final quality gate for high-impact organic content.

Trend & Algorithm Awareness:

Track Google algorithm updates, SERP shifts, and content format trends. Proactively adapt content strategies to mitigate risk and capitalise on new opportunities.

Project & Stakeholder Ownership:

Manage multiple SEO-driven content initiatives simultaneously - from briefs to publication - ensuring timely delivery, accuracy, and measurable impact.

SEO Writing - Core Expectations

• Expert in writing SEO-led content across blogs, category pages, product/LoB pages, support content, and knowledge bases
• Strong command of on-page, off-page, and content-led technical SEO fundamentals
• Proven experience with keyword research, search intent mapping, content gap analysis, and competitor benchmarking
• Ability to optimise content for rankings, CTR, internal linking, featured snippets, and conversions
• Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush
• Working understanding of Google algorithm updates and their content implications
• Ability to collaborate with SEO teams to align content with site structure, crawlability, and indexation goals

Criteria

• 8+ years of experience in SEO-focused content writing, preferably in insurance, BFSI, fintech, or large digital-first platforms
• Strong portfolio demonstrating organic growth impact, not just writing quality
• Deep understanding of SEO KPIs, rankings, traffic, engagement, and conversion metrics
• Demonstrated ability to scale and optimise content for large websites
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience with CMS platforms, editorial workflows, and project management tools
• Prior experience mentoring or overseeing SEO writers is highly desirable
