About the Role

This role is focused on delivering established communications strategies and plans over a 12-month fixed-term period. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver content and copy for digital channels, including social media, email communications and the website.

Profile

Experience required for the Internal Communications Manager role:

  • Educated to degree level
  • CIPR qualification (or equivalent) - desirable but not essential

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within internal communications - in financial services or the commodities industry
  • Experience in marketing/brand desired but not essential, with a focus on the creation of branded digital materials and engaging content including for social media, and external events
  • Interest in, and good knowledge of, business and financial services
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with senior leadership team and different teams and functions across the organisation
  • Creative and strategic ability to devise and execute communications strategies and plans
  • Flexible approach and enthusiastic attitude towards learning new skills and learning about the LME's business
  • Working in a small communications team - a willingness to get involved in supporting on other tasks, particularly for the marketing team

The ideal Training and Development Specialist would ideally come from a Military Royal Signals background, be looking for a role that is off the tools and keen to work a 52 Fixed Term Contract.

The Role:

  • To work collaboratively with a major defence organsiation to support the achievement of the communications programme deliverables.
  • Development of training material and courseware in compliance with JSP822 (Defence Direction and Guidance for Training and Education) and any other relevant criteria outlined by the Training Lead or relevant Purchaser's tasking manager.
  • Physical delivery of instructor led training.
  • To ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
  • Other responsibilities as required.
