The Corporate Revenue Cycle Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst - Robotic Process Automation Developer.

As a Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst - Robotic Process Automation Developer, you'll be responsible for assessing current revenue cycle processes and workflows; identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements, collaborating with teams (e.g., registration, billing, charging, coding, collections, and denials management) to streamline processes, reduce and recover denials, and optimize cash flow; and analyzing and monitoring revenue cycle metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Senior Revenue Cycle Analysts take initiative and work with limited oversight, including patient account reviews, system maintenance, data analysis, and process improvement activities.

Senior Revenue Cycle Analysts developing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) are responsible for optimizing and automating revenue cycle processes through the development, testing, and implanting of robotic process automation and other scripting. RPA Analysts collaborate closely with other Revenue Cycle stakeholders to map current workflows, identify process and technology gaps, and implement automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and implement RPA/scripting solutions, tailored to revenue cycle tasks such as claims processing, billing, adjustment, and payment posting.
  • Conduct thorough testing of RPA/scripting solutions to ensure they function as intended, meeting performance standards.
  • Provide training and support to staff on RPA tools and processes, fostering a culture of automation within the organization.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of automated processes, including workflows, user guides, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor RPA operations/script running in real-time, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during automated processes.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field. Significant Revenue Cycle experience (i.e., 5+ years in addition to the minimum) may be accepted in lieu of certain college education requirements.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of revenue cycle operations, including an understanding of registration, charging, billing, collections, and denials management processes.
  • Experience working in a patient accounting system, using available online tools for claims and EOB review, and reviewing claim bills and remittances in document imaging systems.
  • Experience managing projects and vendors, delivering data-driven solutions, supporting process improvement initiatives, and mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills, proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.), and the ability to meet deadlines and multitask.

Travel Requirements: Up to 15% domestic travel dependent on business need

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. Pay & Benefits

    • Utilize GitHub for version control and participate in change management processes.
  • Active Directory and VDS Exposure:
    • Work with Active Directory and Virtual Directory Services to support IAM workflows.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum Professional Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 6 years of overall IT professional experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) security.
  • Programming Languages: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java and Python.
  • Database Expertise:
    • Proficiency in relational databases, including stored procedures.
    • 2+ years of experience working with Snowflake databases.
  • Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
  • DevOps Experience: Exposure to writing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • REST API Development: Experience in building applications for REST web services (consumer and provider).
  • Version Control: Familiarity with GitHub repositories and change management processes.
  • Active Directory and VDS: Basic understanding and experience.
  • Okta development expertise:
    • Configure OIG components such as role management, user provisioning, and access request workflows.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OIG connectors, workflows, and integrations.
  • IAM security expertise (2+ years).
  • Okta Workflow development and configuration (2+ experience)
  • Okta custom connector development
  • Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
  • Experience in REST API development.
  • Relational database skills and Snowflake expertise.
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory and Virtual Directory Services (VDS) concepts.
  • Experience using Git repositories (e.g., GitHub).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (GitHub Actions/Jenkins) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with AWS Lambda functions and AWS infrastructure setup (IaC using Terraform).
  • IAM experience with Okta
  • Containerization and Orchestration using Kubernetes/Docker
  • Experience with Radiant Logic VDS
