Join a team that develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of semiconductors. You will influence the planning and designing of manufacturing engineering processes pertaining to semiconductors, and determine parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing software and hardware to test MEMS and Pressure Sensors for validation and production testing.

• Debugging and technical problem solving to create production test programs.

• Understand the design details of the component and implement tests to ensure the product meets specifications.

• Develop test plans to define product characteristics and issues to determine corrective actions and improvements.

• Develop documentation including operating procedures, work instructions and training.

• Hands on, floor support of IC manufacturing. Problem resolution and continuous improvement.

The Greenville, North Carolina, USA site is a large, multipurpose pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging campus. The operation provides both development and commercial services for sterile injectables forms.

Position Summary

Provide technician support and expertise to sterile pharmaceutical production and customer technical transfers, modifications to existing processes and auxiliary support systems. Lead process improvements to increase safety, reduce costs, improve quality, and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE). Emphasize minimizing production equipment downtime to increase equipment availability and timeliness along with regulatory compliance for process and support systems. Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Validation and Quality to maintain cGMP compliance, an injury-free workplace, and timely product delivery. Typical hours are 7a - 4p, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and support with meeting business unit objectives and growing production's OEE. Maintain system design and associated documentation.

  • Diagnose and resolve difficult process and equipment interactions to maintain system readiness. Frequently, this effort requires collaboration with other teams. Communicate resolution summary to Area Leadership.

  • Develop process flow diagrams, problem solving guides, author Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) and Job Aids to increase process efficiencies and repeatability.

  • Direct alignment with User Requirement Specifications, Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, and user documentation.

  • Establish technical fit into existing facilities and equipment layouts, identify process requirements, recognize efficiency and safety gaps and drive technical solutions.

  • Provide supporting data on process systems and equipment to production and quality investigations along with proposing solutions and improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Validation, Engineering and Customer teams to ensure process consistency during routine operations and modifications to processes maintain GMP standards (FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ).

  • Develop and train resources on technical processes using flow diagrams, job aids and work instructions.

  • First Line of Defense for Process Troubleshooting and perform daily floor interactions with Operations, Maintenance, Quality and Safety.

  • Own results by taking actions to ensure accuracy and report variances and exceptions in processes.

  • Drive Continuous Improvements using metrics, TPM, 5S, and the PPI process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering

  • Three (3) years of Process experience, preferably a manufacturing process in Pharmaceuticals.

  • 3+ years of Process Improvement experience using Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, Trend Analysis methodologies preferred.

  • Successful history in a regulated manufacturing environment in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Device industry is a plus.

  • Experience with Data Integrity principles for automation systems and audit trail data a plus.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills to manage time and prioritize tasks.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and people skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Job Overview:

As part of our Manufacturing Engineering Project team, the primary function of this position will be to drive the development and execution of corporate strategy and innovation capital projects for Keurig Dr Pepper manufacturing locations. This position will build and manage relationships of internal and external resources to effectively implement project initiatives that drive productivity results, optimize value, and promote growth. This role interacts with individuals from Strategy, Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Beverage Initiatives, and other key Business Units within Keurig Dr Pepper. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline. This individual will also have experience in developing and executing capital projects in a manufacturing environment. A candidate with Food and Beverage or CPG (Consumer Package Goods) and plant production line experience is considered a plus. Knowledge of high-speed filling, packaging technologies are ideal areas of expertise. PMP Certified, lean methodologies, TPM, and knowledge of key standard work processes are also essential qualities.

Responsibilities -

Technical Services:

  • Collaborate and drive network and plant strategies for capacity growth, productivity, and innovation

  • Approval of equipment design, development, and execution

  • Define performance criteria, develop timelines, and estimate capital budgets

  • Write and execute equipment specification; provide input on specification platform/management

Provide consistent coaching, working to develop individuals in alignment with their strengths and creating a team environment that attracts and retains the best talent in the field.
  • Provide technical direction to staff in order to ensure timely completion of projects, achievement of continuous improvement targets and the development and utilization of efficient work practices. Apply knowledge of items such as manufacturing layout, concepts, process controls, statistical applications, Engineering Change Orders and labor quotes to ensure the most effective and efficient operations. Apply advanced knowledge of Design for Manufacturing Guidelines in order to make appropriate requests of the customer and optimize the manufacturing process. Actively support customer visits and technical inquiries in order to maximize Plexus partnerships with a wide variety of customers.
  • Responsible to exemplify and hold their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
Education/Experience Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering is required.
  • Five (5) years of related experience is required.
  • Preferably two (2) years in a supervisory or project leader role.

What you'll bring

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering (ABET certified): Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or Industrial is strongly preferred.Other degrees will be considered with appropriate experience.
  • Prior experience in project management is required.This experience may include NPD and large scale/scope engineering change for current products.
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of direct supervisor experience.
  • Background in developing production processes: experience with machine tools, fixture design, manufacturing processes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation methods.

What You'll Do As the Manager - Manufacturing Engineering, you'll lead a high-performing team focused on developing and sustaining test and manufacturing processes. You'll drive operational excellence across the product lifecycle-from new product introduction through to full-scale production. Requirements/Qualifications: Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers supporting manufacturing, test, and integration processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, R&D, Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies.
  • Oversee test equipment validation, production workflows, and product lifecycle transitions.
  • Ensure on-time delivery, quality compliance, and a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.
  • Guide technical documentation, training programs, and standardized work procedures.
  • Develop team goals and individual development plans; foster a strong, collaborative culture.
What You'll Bring Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing) and 12+ years of experience or equivalent education and experience in lieu of degree
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW and Python
  • Experience designing test hardware interfaces
  • Proven leadership in process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing and testing of electromechanical systems
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and managing BOMs, routings, and production costs
  • Strong communication, project management, and team development skills
Preferred Experience:
  • IPC 610 Class 3 / J-STD-001 workmanship standards
  • Soldering, SMT/thru-hole assembly, box build, cables, and rework
  • RF, microwave, or timing system knowledge
  • Experience introducing new products into manufacturing (NPI)
  • Understanding of GD&T and general mechanical fabrication processes
